Learning and Development Project Co-ordinator and facilitator
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Head: Ops Learning and Development
- Co-ordinate and implement a learning intervention across four African countries, i.e Uganda, Tanzania, Lesotho and Zambia
- Implemented a Facebook and Twitter group during the African learning intervention, to encourage employees from Africa to leverage onto technology to conduct businesses
- Facilitated training, i.e Customer Service, Effective Telephone Skills, Email and Communication Etiquette, Change Management as well as Orientation Programmes across the organisation.
- Managed team building and social events to ensure a high performance team
- Managed the soft skills development of younger employees in learnerships
- Support delegates during their journey on the China Immersion Programme
Achievements
- Successfully rolled-out the Africa learning intervention where over 700 employees across Africa were up-skilled to ensure better efficiency and business continuity
- Facilitated training to employees across South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia
- Co-ordinated high quality team building and social events which ensured the improvement of team moral and performance back in the workplace
- Learners from the learnership programmes have shown an increase in motivation and positive behaviour due to soft skills development, they were also more resilient and innovative
- Rolled out a presentation on Business Etiquette with strategic Chinese partners (e.g. ICBC shareholders) and customers, employees have a better understanding of the do’s and don’t's during engagement
- Travelled to China with 30 executives to host and guide them and to ensure that their trip was effective and memorable
